Chinese Almond Cookies

1Cup Sugar 
½Teaspoon Baking Soda 
½Teaspoon Salt 
1Cup Butteror Margarine
1Large Egg 
1Teaspoon Almond Extract

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in butter until it looks like cornmeal.
  3. Add egg and almond extract.
  4. Shape into 1 inch balls.
  5. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cooking sheet.
  6. Place almond on top of each and flatten slightly.
  7. Bake at 325˚ for 15–18 minutes.
